There’s nothing that makes us happier faster than a bright burst of color, and when that comes courtesy of a sweet-and-sassy room design by some of our favorite bloggers, well, it’s like Christmas, our birthdays, and the first day of summer all rolled into one. So we were understandably giddy when we saw this light, effervescent show house designed by Sherry and John of Young House Love for the 2014 Richmond Homearama in Virginia.
We’re especially smitten with the bedroom, which features a grown-up, saturated take on a pink-and-blue palette, and uses some eye-catching artwork—plus a fair isle rug from Dash & Albert and some swoon-worthy printed sheets from Pine Cone Hill—as its inspiration. We love the brightness of the rug against the rich walnut floors; the easy-breezy look of the mostly white, tailored bed; and the gold accents, like the interlocking-spheres chandelier. Even better, Sherry and John donated their entire design fee to the Richmond Habitat for Humanity; a portion of the proceeds from Homearama ticket sales also go to Habitat for Humanity.
