Maybe it’s a bit of a tease, but those warmer temps we’ve been enjoying lately, the snow-free streets, and the sun hanging high in the sky for longer stretches? All are signs that spring is making its slow creep in, and we couldn’t be happier to toss open our doors and windows and welcome it. (True: we got away with a pretty mild winter here in our little corner of Massachusetts. Also true: we wouldn’t argue if spring and summer lasted all year long.) Since we’re already there—mentally, if not in physical reality—we’re taking a look at one of our biggest inspirations for the upcoming season: Hamptons style.
With its air of relaxed elegance and effortlessness, its casual yet pulled-together character, Hamptons style feels fresh, sophisticated, and timeless. We love the mix of airy, flowy fabrics like linen and cotton gauze, the versatile color palettes that lean heavily on lighter neutrals and faded blues, and the laid-back yet upscale feel.
From the architecture to the fashion, the seascapes to the interiors, the swanky parties to the beach culture, and everything in between, here are a few of our favorite Hamptons inspirations.
