Hello, Fresh American readers! I’m Kayley Heeringa from Sidewalk Ready—Everyday Fashion, and I am honored to be guest posting today. Sidewalk Ready focuses on fashion for everyday women with occasional beauty tutorials and home decorating posts.
When Annie reached out asking for a post based on her book, Fresh American Spaces, I was so excited. After viewing some images from the book, I was immediately inspired! The décor is fresh and clean with very defined color stories. This resonates with my sense of style perfectly, so I chose to base an outfit off of my favorite image from the book.

This room really speaks to me. It has a studious atmosphere, but still has an air of relaxation due to the printed bedding. This is the feeling that I aim to achieve in my home, so this decorating is what my dreams are made of!
Something else that really stood out to me about this design was the color scheme: white walls, dark wood, and coral. The bones of this room feel masculine, but with the addition of the bedding and throw, it brings in an element of femininity. To emulate this in an outfit, I paired my brown coated denim with a unisex oxford shirt. Glasses and a simple, gray cardigan add a studious feel. To complete the look, paisley smoking slippers introduce print, color, and femininity into the ensemble. This is a perfect combination for a casual, relaxed feel, but with a playful twist, much like the room!

This a gorgeous scarf! As a huge fan of Annie and Pine Cone Hill, I’d love to win. I just received new linen window panels from PCH in Ocean and I can certainly see this scarf as an accessory in the room, as well as wearing it!

I love the room-I am not really fashion conscious anymore as I am retired but I adore scarfs and all Annie’s stuff. I would pair the scarf with jeans as that is pretty much my bottom half uniform and for the top?, perhaps a white crewneck t-shirt which is a go to also for me and a blazer-I am thinking red or maybe deep purple. hope I win!

I would pair the scarf with a little black dress and black flats to give a solid base for the scarf. That way the scarf would be the highlight of the ensemble 🙂

I actually really love the bedding – I didn’t know it was called paisley before! I’m a big fan of tribal prints and funky designs, so I really like how the duvet highlights the room, and Kayley’s shoes add the flavor to her outfit. Great look for both!
That scarf is lovely, I’d wear it with black jeans and denim chambray.
I love the spring colors of the scarf! If I didn’t wear it to work, I would wear it with jeans and a top or blouse with nice spring colors, maybe some pastels.

The Circus Scarf is so colorful I would wear it with a solid color such as black or a dark blue. This would make the colors pop. You car wear it with pant,shorts or a dress. You could even wear ti to the beach with a swimsuit.Just wear it and have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!
