Home Decorating Sea World: Inspired by Coastal Colors

Sea World: Inspired by Coastal Colors

Switch up your neutral interior with wall colors inspired by sand, surf, and sky.

We like to think of ourselves as observers of the world, discerning minds who notice the unusual in the usual, who can translate the mundane into the sublime, who find home-design inspiration anywhere and everywhere.

Anyhoo, no matter what you call us, when we came across this gorgeous photo of stormy skies over a retreating tide, our first thought was, Get thee to a paint store. Stat. At our local Benjamin Moore seller, we picked up a few gallons based on different parts of the photo. With the focus on browns, tans, grays, and creams, with a touch of indigo for added depth, this is the foundation of a chic, sophisticated, anything-but-boring neutral space.

What we chose:

Deep Indigo 1442

Englewood Cliffs 1607

Winter Solstice 1605

Saddle Brown 2164-10

Broken Arrow 1026

Woodacres 1020

White Diamond OC-61
