Welcome to the eleventh installment of our monthly series, “Rugs Through the Years!” (Wow, almost a full year of these journeys down memory lane!) Throughout this year-long series, we’re highlighting our 12 best-selling rugs and showing a few ways each fan favorite has been styled since its debut. Last month, we highlighted our classic Tattersall rug and this month, we’re looking back on our crowd-pleasing Blue Heron Striped rug, available in both cotton woven and indoor/outdoor weaves!
As the cherry on top, we’ll be giving away a Blue Heron cotton woven rug to one lucky reader – up to an 8×10 size! Let’s take a look back on some of the ways this beauty has been styled in years past…
Cozy Hallway Nook
We love the juxtaposition of Blue Heron’s light blue, olive and navy stripes against the vibrant turquoise ceramic tile floor in this cozy hallway nook!
Classic Stair Runner
You can’t go wrong with a classic striped stair runner and Blue Heron is a design that will certainly stand the test of time.

We love how Judy Cook of Judy Cook Interiors incorporated Blue Heron into this otherwise neutral entryway.
Sitting Pretty
Blue Heron might be a fan favorite, but our furry friend Frankie makes every rug look cuter!
Did You know?
The Blue Heron pattern was so popular with our customers that we transferred the design to bedding, a cotton throw, and a decorative pillow!
Which of the above Blue Heron “moments” is your favorite and why? Join the conversation in the comments below for your chance to win your very own Blue Heron cotton woven rug – up to an 8×10 size! We’ll choose the winner on Thursday January 25, 2018!

I have always liked the Blue Heron. I bought a 6×9 rug for our grandson. He is now coming up on Birthday #14 and I would like to replace the much loved old Blue Heron. Is the bedding still available for a queen bed?
Fabulous as a stair runner!!
I just love the Blue Heron moment: Classic Stair Runner because it’s an idea I can replicate on the back staircase in our home which looks very similar to the one shown in the photo. Our back hallway is just off the kitchen and is neutral too. The rug in the photo looks great, must feel great and cuts down on the sound of feet stepping up and down the bare oak steps. We have a Blue Heron runner in front of our sink and having another one just around the corner would add just the right touch to our back staircase.
I like the one with Frankie! Nothing like the unconditional love of a little doggie combined with the love of an Annie Selke rug!
I love the throw and pillow so much, but am hoping to win a rug for our PNW A frame. Thank you!
Love them all but can stare at cozy nook for days! Obsessed with this pattern and color palette.
I love the Blue Heron as a stair runner – it looks amazing!
I love it as a stair runner…but that pup is the cutest so that’s a close second!
The sitting pretty moment is my favorite, but I love a lot the bedding and pillows too. The colors and designs are my style.
Love the rug with the dog! We have two black labs and durability and quality is so important. Exceptional color pallet and so versitle.
I like the picture with Frankie. I have hardwood floors and a clean, fresh pattern like this rug makes them much more dog-friendly without hiding the hardwood floors that I love.
I love the how it is styled into the bedding. An eclectic mix of patterns and textures makes the most interesting space, as well as the best “soft landing” on a bed. However, these stripes are gorgeous anyway they come.
I love them all, my faves are the pic with Frankie, the stair runner, and the one with the throw. I love the color of the fence and door!
Love the covers on the bed with the pillows. Such a warm and cozy look!! Makes you want it in your bedroom. Love the colors and the runner on the stairs too. It is very cheerful to come home to.
Live the Blue Heron rug. The colours pop without being too bright. Beautiful!
Timeless beautiful design. I don’t think I will ever get over blue stripes.
Thank you for making such amazing rugs! They literally bring life to a room! Love them all, but the stair runner idea takes the cake!
I love the rug and especially the photo of the dog on it! Very cute! Would love this rug for the cabana room of the house we are buying.
The stair runner is beautiful!
My favorite would be the one with Frankie! Our dog Pig has claimed every Dash and Albert piece in our house…a throw, our living room rug and the runner in our hallway. We would love to add another one to our collection. Pug hair would blend right in to that beautiful rug! 😉
Beautiful rug
Love them all. Would love to have the chance to see this rug in my home.
Love this rug!!It would look great in our foyer!
Stair runner is amazing! Frankie is pretty cute too!
The stairs!
I love the rug also I adore the pillows on the bed so much. I love the style! And it stands out so much with that plant by its side ❤️ I would love this for my new home !
Swoon! Crisp pattern, understated weave, and colors suggestive of the serenity of a magnificent heron wading in the marsh, this rug is perfection. The Classic Stair Runner is stunning.
Blue Heron as a stair runner really livens up that foyer!
Love the way this rug looks as a stair runner! I am hoping to see it on my patio :).
I love the idea that you can combine the rug with the matching pillows. and bedding…very clever. and it ties the room
together. I love the color combination too.

A classic stunner!!
I love this rug and the sweet puppy! The rug is a great neutral!
It looks pretty good with the puppy!
It’s a great pattern and color palate.
Sitting Pretty is my fave! Pets and babies make everything sweeter. I have been searchng for a new rug for my dining room. Blue is my base color. This rug would be perfect!
I just love the color combination! I would love to use it as a stair runner or a hallway runner. So classic and gorgeous!
I adore the rustic charm of the Blue Heron Cozy Hallway Nook! The Blue Heron Striped Rug, entwined with timeless colors of the sand, sea and sky, creates a sense of cozy warmth among the cool mosaic tile floor, the rough driftwood footstool, and the decorative Moroccan style chair. It’s a place where I could linger, feeling transposed in space and time.
