We are so excited to announce a new blog and website feature for 2018! As you likely know by now, we love working with home décor and lifestyle influencers, so we’re teaming up with 12 of our favorites this year to bring you, “Room View!”
We’re challenging these design mavens to redesign one room in their home (using all Annie Selke product, of course)! Each month, we’ll feature the blogger on our homepage and here on Fresh American Style to show off the finished space and ask them a few questions about their inspiration and final result. We hope you’ll follow along!
This month, we worked with Molly Miller of A Piece of Toast blog who chose to spruce up her living room.

Q&A with Molly Miller
Why did you choose your living room for the makeover?
My living room was in such sad state – shredded rug, no pillows, a lack of decor love. The room doesn’t get a ton of natural light and the dark rug I had (the same one that my puppy Rosebud had done a number on) was a brown that made the whole room feel dark and drab. I spend so much time in my living room and desperately wanted to brighten it up with some fresh new items!
What do you love most about Annie Selke products? Do you have a favorite item?
I love the range of Anne Selke products – rugs, furniture, dog beds, indoor/outdoor friendly fabrics – it’s so nice to have a one-stop-shop for great quality and timeless pieces. My favorite item is the new rug I got. Rugs can be tricky (especially when you have dogs) and having the guidance of descriptions (super durable, great for high traffic areas, easy to spot clean and vacuum, etc.) made it really easy to narrow down my favorites and make a final decision.
What is it about Annie Selke’s designs that resonate with your personal style?
I consider my personal style (for both fashion and interiors) to be classic and comfortable with a little bit of edge or unexpectedness sprinkled in. Anne Selke has a traditional foundation that resonates with me and the desire I have to pick items for my home that are timeless and lasting. Because of the thoughtful assortment of styles – from more luxurious finishes to indoor/outdoor options – I was able to find the perfect mix of classic and comfy things that feel true to my personality!
What is your favorite aspect of your newly designed living room?
The room feels SO much brighter with the lighter-colored rug! It’s made such a huge difference. Bringing in accents like pillows, a new dog bed (an essential for my pups), and other decor goodness allowed me to layer in color and texture that felt personal to me and the overall look and feel I was going for. I’m over the moon in love with the transformation!
Be sure to check back next month when we team up with another fabulous design blogger!
