Decorating fans know that pretty much every square inch of a space is visual real estate—it’s a matter of what to highlight and how. But one area that doesn’t get much design love is the interior door, which most of us think of as a transitional element that separates room from room (or hall) and that usually ends up looking the same throughout a house. But this post on the Aesthete’s Lament blog had us pining for hand-painted doors, which have an instantly worldly and eclectic appeal.
