One Rug, 10 Ways: Fusion

Part of our collection of Designer Favorite Rugs, Fusion’s room-grounding pattern is woven in two timeless colors: Grey and blue. It is available in every size from 2×3 to 10’x14’, and even custom sizes!

The flat-weave performance fiber is easy to keep clean and a smart choice for high-traffic areas, including staircases, kitchens, mudrooms, and more. These rugs are the perfect choice for every room of the house—and every style of house from urban apartments to country farmhouses. See how our favorite decorators and design influencers use Fusion in different rooms:

With its full suite of furnishings, “going to our backyard almost feels like a vacation,” says Katie Sullivan, the design enthusiast behind Pretty Domesticated of her North Dakota backyard. The indoor/outdoor rug defines her outdoor living room and adds a little warmth to help stretch the patio season.

When Tiffany Leigh Design remodeled The Amabel Beach House, a tiny rental cottage, they left the original cedar ceiling to honor the character of the home but painted the paneling white to freshen it up. Blue and white accessories, including our Fusion runner in blue, reinforce the coastal theme.

Tim and Christina Britt Lewis, the couple behind The Redesign Company (@lovecominghome) in Charlotte, North Carolina, chose an indoor-outdoor Fusion runner for a high-traffic staircase lined with blue botanical wallpaper.

Our Fusion rug looks right at home on display at Gild & Co., a home furnishings boutique in Vancouver whose motto is to “connect inspired shoppers with beautiful objects.” Pops of color enliven the vignette.

Lisa Fleming Design, an interior design business based in Madison, New Jersey, enlivened a foundation of blue and white with red painted furniture in this little boy’s room.

Boston area Trask Development added what they call a “bit of industrial flair” to this new kitchen. Natural wood, touches of brass, and our textured Fusion runner warm up the pristine cook space.

Justine, the founder of The Pear Tree Studio in Australia, says her style is “beautiful and stylish, but relaxed, unpretentious, and inviting.” Case in point: Her designer kitchen, where a Fusion runner protects the kitchen flooring from spills while still looking polished.

Kennedy Pleasants, the founder of Kennedy Graham Design in Georgia, used our indoor-outdoor Fusion rug as a foundation for a living room that’s chic yet also family-friendly. Leather is another smart choice for families because wear can actually give the upholstery more character.

“I like to talk about ‘wow’ moments when I’m designing, but you can’t have too many wows in one room, or they begin to overshadow each other,” says Michelle Barone, principal of Madison Hudson Design in Stamford, Connecticut. “This arch is my wow.” The quiet Fusion rug and minimalist light fixture support the big moment.

Gray Oak Studio in Lynnfield, Massachusetts created a streamlined reading nook with a modernist chair, a simple floor lamp, and our no-pattern Fusion rug. Potted plants help bring this corner to life.
