A Night at the Woodfire Grill, Atlanta

Lucky ducks that we are, during the recent Design Bloggers Conference in Atlanta, we attended (among other fab parties hosted by Sub-Zero, Ethan Allen, Sunbrella, HGTV Magazine, and Kravet, an exclusive wine dinner with conference founder and DigitalSherpa president Adam Japko—and a bunch of blogging and interior designer friends—at the Woodfire Grill. Adam, who’s also an ace wine guy, worked with the chefs to put together a menu inspired by five basic concepts of interior design: texture, line, value, shape, and color. The result—from the tallegio squares capped with gold leaf and served on dried apricots, to the poached duck breast with black rice grits and huckleberry, and the sweet assortment of cheery macaroons—was pretty spectacular.

It’s no wonder the Woodfire Grill has topped critics’ best-of lists since opening in 2002, and Executive Chef Tyler Williams has twice been named the Eater Atlanta Chef of the Year. Take a peek at these images from the dinner and you’ll see why.
