Orchids are my favorite!! Also enjoy raising African Violets but they can be so finicky. I lost my big beautiful ones to scale 2 yrs back & I am am still mad at them. 😉 Suzi pblapere@att.net
I am in love with suculents, they are easy to take care of!
This is my favorite rug so far!
No plants here, I have cats instead!
I’m partial to orchids. Thanks for the giveaway!
I love big tall areca palms – they are so graceful and airy!
What a fabulous idea! Perfect for the DIY wedding reception decor.
The rug is great as well.
Thanks
I always have good luck with African violets and orchids. Love them!
I have had great luck with orchids. They come in so many beautiful colors and types, I never tire of them.
Indoor gardening is the best–though a bit challenging for those of us who lack direct sunlight. I’ve had great luck with a hibiscus that winters indoors and spends spring, summer, and a bit of the fall outside.
That Dash & Albert rug is perfection!
As for plants, I’m horrible at indoor plants. My “safe” favorite is the trusty dusty Peace Lily. You can’t kill them!
Roses, always roses. I only spring for the grocery store mini’s now… too many heartaches. But when I hit it right, they sing!!
I like growing herbs inside. They are pretty and oh, so useful!
my favorite houseplant is an indoor palm. Also love an orchid in bloom. Love the rug. Thx.
Lately I’ve gotten into succulents – I do not have a green thumb, but these are easy to care for and they have a lush, exotic look…
I love African violets – my grandma always had a large tiered plant stand filled with them in her living room.
I’ve been leaning toward succulents lately – my green thumb is a little more successful with plants needing a little less “love” and a little more “determination” instead.
I have a pale yellow orchid that I purchased to memorialize a dear friend who loved orchids. I never had one before because I thought they were too needy, but this beautiful orchid blooms profusely for two months then rests for three months, all with only giving 3 ice cubes every Sunday! Looking into the face of this orchid brings to mind such wonderful happy memories of my friend.
My favorite plant is our ginger plant. We where traveling in Hawaii 9 years ago my husband tripped on a root which ended up being ginger. We took the root home and planted it and now have a lovely ginger plant that reminds us of our time in Hawaii.
Orchids make me happy but not always successful when keeping and tending after blooms are spent. Best & most useful for me are herbs for the kitchen: basil, rosemary, thyme, etc. Those Dash & Albert Rugs are throughout my house. LOVE all the colorways! The more the merrier! Great contest, Annie. Thanks.
Believe it or not, but i have a magnificant bonsai garden on my window sill. Bonsai’s bring both zen energy and beauty into any home…and are a great stress reliever! 🙂
