If there’s one thing we’re known for, it’s our frequent use of bright, vibrant colors. When it comes to holiday décor, our obsession with happy hues is unwavering. (We like to think beyond the traditional red, green, white and silver color palette). If you share our love for “rogue” holiday decorating, this DIY project will suit you perfectly. Read on to learn how to make your own festive pom-pom wreath, perfect for dressing up a mantle, door or wall this season!
What You’ll Need
- Wreath form
- A variety of yarn
- Pom-pom maker (optional)
We chose a variety of bright yarns to match our Bright Bohemian collection. Feel free to choose colors that resonate with you! Pro Tip: We totally cheated and bought a pom-pom maker at our local craft store. You can choose to make your own pom-poms, but just a warning, it’s #TimeConsuming.
Step 1: Make Your Pom-Poms!
If you purchased a pom-pom maker, be sure to read over its set of instructions before you begin. Wrap the yarn around the pom-pom maker, alternating different colors as you go. The more yarn you wrap around it, the fuller the pom-pom will be!
Step 2: Place Pom-Poms on Wreath Form
Continue making your pom-poms. As you go, lay them on top of your wreath form until you have enough to cover it completely. End by fastening the pom-poms to the wreath by tying each of the pom-pom’s strands to the wreath form. Voila!
