For us, winter in the Northeast is all about two things: spiked hot cocoa and cozy accessories. This month, we’re getting toasty and giving ourselves a hand at the same time with some brand-new leather gloves from Geier Glove Company, a Washington State institution that’s been making gorgeous digit covers for decades. And they just keep getting better.
Geier was founded by two brothers in 1927 in Centralia, Washington, with the goal of producing leather gloves with impeccable fit and superior durability and comfort. Though their first styles were mainly for utility, they now craft a variety of work, dress, driving, and riding gloves in various leathers—buttery-soft deerskin, goatskin, and bison among them. And they all fit to a T, thanks to a spot-on sizing system.
Our current favorite Geier gloves are the fringed deerskin gauntlets (bling lovers can even get a pair with rhinestone studs along the cuff) and the sleek driving gloves with Thinsulate lining for extra warmth during long drives. But there isn’t a bad pair in the bunch, so we’re just going to stock up to match every type of outfit in our winter fashion arsenal.
