A Juicing Update

We’re still rocking the juice and smoothies here at Fresh American HQ, with new, seemingly incongruous but incredibly tasty combos discovered almost every day (beet with pineapple! Fresh farmers’ market berries with peach, almond milk, and a hint of basil!). Here are a couple of fun, minty-fresh, Fresh American–approved recipes:

Annie’s Summer Refresher Juice

  • 1–2 stalks celery
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 apple
  • 1 chunk (about 1 inch long) ginger
  • 1 beet
  • Handful of fresh mint

Annie’s Sweet-and-Healthy Smoothie

  • 1 mango
  • 1 banana
  • 1 peach
  • 6–8 strawberries
  • 1 large leaf kale
  • Handful of fresh mint
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

How about you? Got any favorite juice or smoothie combos to share, or tips for making the most of your fresh fruit and veggies?

Both sound great! Will have to try. We’ve replaced two of our meals with smoothies. My favorite: kale (fresh or frozen) 1 slice of fresh pineapple, half of banana, half of green apple, half orange, coconut water, ice, agave nectar, fresh ginger and basil. It’s so amazing!

This sounds delicious, Katrina! We love the addition of coconut water and basil, and can’t wait to try it. Thanks for sharing!
