Welcome back to part two of our series on the ultimate breakfast-in-bed combos for Mother’s Day. In yesterday’s post, we went with a green-and-ivory, hydrangea-themed mix of bedding, pj’s, and table linens, with some flaky pastry and juicy fruit added in for good measure.
For today’s design, we’re taking a softer, more painterly approach, with watercolor-print bedding, a flowy nightdress, sunny-hued napkins, and one of Annie’s new favorite flowers, the tree peony, which comes in white and a range of pinks, from fuchsia to ballet. Check with your neighborhood nursery for the freshest selection, (we buy ours locally from the incredible White Flower Farm) then pot it in a petite apple-green ceramic planter.
We polled the moms at Fresh American HQ about their favorite breakfast-in-bed combos, and one dominated the rankings: Belgian waffles with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, and a cup of English breakfast tea. Luckily, the Fabulous Foods blog has a terrific recipe, so we’ve got no excuse not to get it perfect.
