Home Decorating Room View with Chassity Evans

Room View with Chassity Evans

Welcome to our second installment of Room View, a new series on Fresh American Style where we’re partnering up with some of our favorite design bloggers and challenging them to make over a room in their home with Annie Selke products! Last month we featured blogger Molly Miller of A Piece of Toast and this month, we worked with Chassity Evans of the popular Charleston-based life and style blog, Look Linger Love.

Chassity wanted to add a little life and color to her daughter’s bedroom and we are in love with the cheery result. Scroll down for photos of the new space and the 411 on Chassity’s design inspiration.

Q&A with Chassity Evans

Why did Lilly’s room need an update?

Our main goal in updating Lilly’s room was to lighten up the space with brighter and lighter layers to give the space a fresher feel.

Does Lilly have total say of how her room looks or is mom allowed to have some input/final say?

Fortunately, I still have a large say over Lilly’s space. While I get to choose the main elements, she definitely punches it up with her own ideas like doll placement and lots of handmade drawings taped to the wall with washi tape.

What do you love most about Annie Selke products? Do you have a favorite item from Annie Selke?

What I love most is the high quality and simple, yet colorful designs. Her bed feels so luxurious that I have to make myself get up after story time at night. And I especially love how the stripe rug grounds the space. It’s one of my favorite pieces, we have it in our home in the Bahamas as well.

What is Lilly’s favorite aspect of her newly designed bedroom?

Lilly loves her room’s more grown up vibe! And her bed feels like a cloud!

Be sure to check back next month when we team up with another fabulous design blogger!
