We first met Jenean Morrison at the Alt Summit in Salt Lake City, and we immediately felt like we had a new design BFF. Jenean, who lives and works in Memphis, is an incredible artist who creates some wildly detailed and color-drenched patterns—often with a vintage flair—for everything from fabric and rugs to stationery, gift wrap, lamp shades, iPhone cases, and coloring books (yep, coloring books). Make yourself a cup of tea and take a spin through her site, including her fun blog and portfolio. We dare you not to get lost in all the eye candy!
Jenean’s client list includes the likes of Fisher-Price, Free Spirit Fabrics, Murals Your Way, and Lamp in a Box. As if that’s not impressive enough, her paintings are currently in the corporate collections of the Mirage Resort and Casino and the Bellagio Hotel Spa & Salon in Las Vegas; Skysong Center in Scottsdale, Arizona; and Cleo, Inc. in her home base of Memphis. Even better, Jenean is one of those down-to-earth, smarty-pants types who prove that talent, persistence, and being true to yourself can actually be turned into a successful design career.
