For her latest Woman’s Day makeover, Annie tackled a dull, drab, and dark back porch in the Berkshires. She immediately switched out the bulky furniture in favor of a pair of easy-to-move café tables, clean-lined (and weather-hardy) aluminum chairs, oval ottomans in an unexpected shade of lime, and a wall-length white banquette topped with saturated rugby-striped cushions and piles of peppy pillows, like the boldly graphic Melody and Mel Stripe shams (the same pattern echoed in the table napkins) from Pine Cone Hill.
Annie added screens and shades all around the porch, which not only help to control sunlight but also provide a much-needed layer of texture. For the floor, she brought in the Trimaran Stripe Denim rug from Dash & Albert—an extra dose of cheery color in a durable, easy-to-wash polypropylene that’s perfect for outdoor and high-traffic spaces.
