Fall Scarf Style

Just in time for holiday event season, we’ve got your go-to daytime outfit. Featuring feminine details like a flippy, layered skirt; a bright fuchsia sweater; an elegant floral wool scarf; a cropped jacket that nips in at the waist; and pointy-toed flats with sweet bows, this fall ensemble is just the thing for business luncheons, weekend get-togethers with your former college pals, and casual (but not too casual) meet-the-parents holiday meals. What makes it that much more special is Annie’s Grey Bouquet scarf, a natural beauty in shades of slate, indigo, cornflower, ivory, and pink. Scarves like this one are the perfect way to express a little creativity, and offer a demure—not dowdy—alternative for occasions when blingy or chunky jewelry might seem a little over the top.

If your event is more cocktail than croissants and coffee, it’s easy to make this outfit do double duty. Keep the scarf, sweater, skirt, and jacket, but swap out the flats for an ankle-strap pump. Then add a sparkly clutch and some bold, sculptural earrings and a ring—silver and gold work equally well in this palette. You could even substitute the ladylike jacket with a charcoal leather bomber, but we’re all for letting the accessories do the work at night.
