Decking Out the Kitchen for the Holidays with Jessica Bruno

When it comes to family-friendly decorating, Jessica Bruno has it in the bag. As the fresh voice behind Four Generations One Roof, she’s been chronicling her adventures in decorating a single house that appeals to four different age groups. Frankly, we don’t know how she manages this and still maintains her own point of view in her styling, but whatever she’s doing, we want more of it. Case in point: this adorable, modern country kitchen design Jessica has put together for the holidays.

We love that Jessica gave a nod to traditional holiday colors with the gorgeous soumak-weave red rug, but she kept it from going over the top by tempering it with neutrals: a solid woven jute rug in front of the sink, plus a rough-and-tumble pouf  made of recycled polyester that works hard—even when you play hard—indoors and out. The room feels festive but is still relaxed, making it the perfect place for gathering for a chat while prepping holiday meals.

Hop over to Jessica’s blog for full details on her holiday kitchen transformation.
