Winter Waffle Sundae Recipe & a KitchenAid Giveaway!

We can’t remember a recent winter when we’ve spent so much time inside, huddled up in pajamas and fleece or buried under layers of warm bedding. As this article proves, we’re not the only ones; the bone-numbing cold and multiple feet (feet!) of snowfall have been enough to try the patience of Buddha.

But as the saying goes, when the going gets tough, the tough make waffles.

Annie Selke red velvet waffle sundae recipe cover

This week, Annie is guest posting over on the the Kitchenthusiast, the KitchenAid blog, with her original recipe for the dessert to pull you out of the winter doldrums: a Winter Waffle Sundae with Crème Fraîche Ice Cream and Dark Chocolate Raspberry Sauce. With its crisp-tender, gluten-free red velvet waffle base topped by the silkiest ice cream and all-grown-up chocolate sauce, this is the recipe your friends will be talking about for parties to come. Or put together a batch just for yourself—we won’t tell—to make these last few weekends of winter a whole lot more enjoyable.

Check out Annie’s Winter Waffle recipe, then come back here and enter our giveaway for the ultimate dessert-lovers giveaway package from KitchenAid and Pine Cone Hill!
