4-Ingredient Smoothies for a Flavor-Packed Breakfast or Snack

Slap together a Saturday sit-down breakfast with eggs, pancakes, toast, and tea, and we’re there—we’ll even bring the maple syrup. But let’s face it: it’s almost impossible to find time for a sit-down breakfast during the work week. Besides, who really wants to nosh on that much food before 8:00 a.m.? Instead, we often turn to smoothies for a quick, nutritious, meal in a glass that will keep us feeling satisfied till it’s time to reach for the midmorning fruit or nut snack.

These smoothies are bursting with fresh, in-season ingredients and lip-smacking sweetness, with no added sugar or other unhealthy ingredients. We also love them as afternoon snacks, but for days when we know we’re going to be hopping from one meeting to the next, they’re our breakfast of choice. Just add a couple tablespoons ground flaxseed or a scoop of protein powder to make them even more filling, and we’re good to go till lunchtime.

1 cup orange juice
