Dash 2001–2014: The Face that Launched a Thousand Rugs

The eponymous Dash—sooooooo handsome and much loved.

The camera (and his family) loved him from the day he landed at the Albany airport.

He snored from the day we got him.

And he loved any and all attention you could give him.  A rubby tummy, a brushing, a butt scratch—you name it, he was down for it.

When Daisy arrived it became clear who was the more serious of the two…..

Dash admired Daisy’s puppy handiwork . . . . though he preferred being the cutest dog in the room.

He was a ham.  He loved having his picture taken.  He never minded the silly get-ups we put him in.

He liked his beauty rest . . . .

But was always up for another shoot . . .

He was filled with quirky personality and made us laugh every day.

Not much is more heartbreaking than the loss of a family pet….been there. He is at the Rainbow Bridge now with other wonderful pets……who have filled our hearts with love.

I am heartbroken for you. My Scottish Terrier passed on December 5, 2013. He was 12.5 years old and it was with a heavy heart that I let him go that day. I held him in my arms as he slipped away from his pain and this physical world.

I feel your heartache and I am so sorry for your loss. I extend my deepest sympathy to you.

I was so moved by your special tribute. Some of the shots reminded me of my beautiful Mimosa, to whom we also bid farewell. May these and many more wonderful memories comfort you.

I grew up with my much older brother who was a Veterinarian
for 33 years, before he passed away at 57. He loved what
he did and often didn’t care if people couldn’t pay him!
Blessings to you on your loss. Dash was is beautiful and I
adore a dog with character…He has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

I lost my precious Chocolate Lab, Montana in April, she was 12. She was so missed by my Silver Lab, Victor and my Golden Retriever, Rigby (let alone me) that I got an older female rescue mutt. Hagan has been a blessing!
I cried looking at your photo’s, it is such a heart break. I am happy that you had so many wonderful years together!
Thank you for sharing those adorable pictures and thank you for sharing your loss!
Only a fellow dog lover can understand the grief!
Sincerest sympathy!
Karla
