We hope you’ve been enjoying our behind-the-scenes peek at Annie’s Pine Cone Hill 20th Anniversary Collection, which has brought back a selection of best-sellers for a limited-time run. Today we’re taking a closer look at Sonia, a gorgeous quilt with so many pairing possibilities, we hardly know where to begin.
Annie first spied this pattern on an antique Swedish document and immediately fell in love. The intricate floral featuring delicate sprigs and bold bouquets, the soft shades of cornflower, blush, apricot, sprout, and dusty plum on a dove grey background—could there be a more perfect focal point for a bedroom? Annie contrasted the gentle quality of the pattern with geometric quilting, all on cozy, machine-washable cotton, and went with a tailored finish around the edges. For this reason, we love to girly it up with ruffled coordinates or throws and decorative pillows in plum and pink, but you can also give it a masculine mood with tailored sheets, duvets, and shams in blue or grey hues. The Sonia quilt even pairs easily with other prints—simply go for something in the same palette and a smaller scale, and you’ve mastered the mix.
