We are absolutely elated to share some very exciting news: Annie is opening a luxury inn in her hometown of Lenox, Massachusetts! And as if that wasn’t exciting enough, there’s more… Annie is also opening an Annie Selke pop-up shop right across the street from the inn, and doors open mid-June. Can you handle all of this news? Scroll down for all of the details.
Annie’s idea for the inn, 33 Main, has always been at the forefront of her mind. Throughout her extensive travels, Annie has become accustomed to spending time away from home in beautiful boutique hotels brimming with thoughtful, exquisite amenities, and a friendly, helpful staff. When the perfect property came onto the market this winter, Annie jumped at the opportunity to finally bring her ideas and most beloved experiences to life.
Aptly named, 33 Main is located at 33 Main Street in the heart of historic downtown Lenox, Massachusetts, just minutes from Annie’s home and a short 20-minute drive to her company’s headquarters (and the Annie Selke Outlet Store!) in Pittsfield.
Extensive renovations are currently underway, but believe us when we say that this building has great bones; we consider ourselves quite lucky. Here are a few “before” shots to get an idea of the property.
Guests will be welcomed with a sweeping staircase and a gracious, open entryway.
The floors need a little TLC, but under the layers of wear, the wood is just begging to gleam again (of course we’ll be laying down a few Dash & Albert rugs throughout the inn to add warmth and character). And can we talk about the columns? They add so much architectural interest and charm! Now on to the two living rooms…
Both spaces offer beautiful fireplaces and large windows looking out to Main Street, and let in plenty of natural light.
The pocket doors are a fun touch, too, although they’ll likely remain open to keep the downstairs common areas airy and welcoming for guests to relax and mingle.
Now on to the dining room…
This space will serve as a place for guests to enjoy bountiful breakfasts (if they choose not to enjoy their petit déjeuner in bed, that is), or a mid-day snack. Annie plans to fill this room with some of her beloved antique furniture pieces.
The bathrooms are light and bright and will be completely renovated with gorgeous shower and floor tile from The Tile Shop and brand new vanities and fixtures throughout. Here is some inspiration to get you excited, courtesy of The Tile Shop.
The bedrooms are spacious and flooded with light.
The beautiful hardwood floors that fill the downstairs continue upstairs as well, both down the hallways and in each bedroom.
All eight bedrooms (two of which will be pet-friendly!) will feature a different theme based off Annie Selke fabrics and patterns and will be filled with Pine Cone Hill bedding, and Dash & Albert rugs. The supreme design and comfort won’t stop there: each room will also feature a luxurious Hastens mattress to ensure that each guest enjoys a perfect night’s sleep.
Be Our Guest
33 Main is poised to welcome guests beginning August 1, 2017. Reservations will fill up quickly, so be sure to book your stay soon via the 33 Main website or by calling 413-400-3333 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Pop-Up Shop
Directly across the street from the inn, Annie spotted a vacant storefront, so naturally she decided it would be the ideal location for the first Annie Selke pop-up store. Fresh paint went up on the walls last Thursday, and small-scale renovations will wrap up in time for doors to open mid-June!
The 720-square foot space will be a one-stop shopping destination for customers who want to be fully immersed in the Annie Selke brand. It will showcase bedding, rugs, jewelry, tabletop items, storage, decorative items, robes, art and more. Guests who fall in love with décor inside the inn can simply walk across the street and purchase their favorite items to bring home!
We simply cannot wait to see Annie’s vision come to fruition over the next few months, and we’re sure you’re equally as excited. Be sure to check back for updates this summer as we’ll be sharing progress photos leading up to the August opening.
